Buddies

Breakfast at Nero's. Yup, the unhealthy kind with chocolate full throtle

Hello gorgeous people!
How have you been?
I know I'm good and I can't stop be thankful to Allah SWT for that.
I just finished  my exams earlier this month and been travelling to meet my friends in Cardiff and Manchester.
Both short trip has been nothing but filled with pure happiness and self-celebration.

Just though want to share something.
When I first arrived here at Teesside, I did not when through the commotion called homesick.
As arrogant as it sounds, I actually experienced another side of the longing which was I miss my friends back in KL a lot. Like really A LOT.
I even went through a short depression trip when I miss them too much and I had no buddies here in the first 5 months.
Back in KL, I'll always have my monthly food hunting sessions with my girlfriends, occasional dinner with my colleagues and chilling out at mamak till wee hours in the morning with McDonalds sundae's to wrap it up with my hummingbirds.
So what happen was after the exam, I took an impromptu trip to Cardiff and Manchester to meet my friends.
Just to get away from the town awhile.
But first I bought myself these giant meal to celebrate the last day of exams

And then Subahanallah, God has blessed me with a heaven trip in both places.
Despite the rain and 108 miles/hour cold wind blowing in my faces, I guess God still works His mysterious ways to sneak in the happiness and blissful of a friendship through these people.

Had a cup of hot chocolate at one of the most authentic  coffee shops called Coffee Barker

Thanks Nadiya for being the most competent photographer!

Thank you Fida for causing me to unzip my pants on my way back home sebab bagi makan banyak sangat

Manchester

I had expereinced the worst wind ever in Manchester.
I was told that the wind was blowing 108 mph that night

This guy actually cooked me a nasi lemak for breakfast when I was there. Sumpah sweet
I came back from both trips with a happy heart and a cold, unfortunately.
But I was grateful. I started to feel that I had find myself back and feel the love of a friendship again.
The best part was, I was greeted by my Teesside girlfriends with same amount of love here after.
And just like that I have found my buddies here.
Bless them

Guess what, its finally snowing here in Middlesbrough!!

HAHA. The most jakon person in the world to see actual snow.
I was practically screeming by the road side when the snow rain on us.
Hee.

Hindi Movie in UK cinema

Miss Miera and me

I was browsing online for The Hobbit movie in the cinema until I saw this add.

dhoom3 aaliya katrinakaif Meet Aaliya Katrina Kaif in Dhoom 3
Pic courtesy of http://bollyspice.com/70239/meet-aaliya-katrina-kaif-dhoom-3

I was like what, cerita hindustan main kat sini. Say what!!!
Here's the trailer.

I wanted to watch the movie like sangat.
Being a hindustan addict myself, watching this movie in cinema is crucial.
They have Aamir Khan in it for God sake.
I don't need any other reason to convince me other than that.
Once I saw the screening time,  I was set on going alone since who (non-indian I mean) would want to watch Hindi movies here right?
Even my besties didn't get this part of me, let alone here, in pekan Middlesbrough.
So I said to myself just go and watch alone since the cinema is like 15 mins walk from where I live.
The last time I catch a movie in the local cinema here is The Hunger Games on the third day after its release.
Given that we only bought the tickets like 5 mins before the movie started and surprise, surprise, the cinema wasn't even full.
Which is why I was confident enough that I didn't even need to book a ticket for this Hindi movie.

But to my dismay, when I arrived at the cinema 1 hour before the screening time,
the show was popping up SOLD OUT in red on the screening board.
I was devastated. Like spiraling down to my stomach-devastated.
How can the movie sold out? Like how?
Sedih sangat that I even blurred out to my girlfriends here about it.

And one of them who were so sweet said:
"Kalau awak nak ajak saya teman, boleh je"
Isn't she the sweetest?
*mata berair sikit*

I told her that I want to watch it soon and she said cool, lets go tomorrow.
We went arm and arm the next day and she took the liberty to booked the ticket as precaution.
When we finally got the tickets, I was ecstatic.
She said this was her first time watching Hindi Movie in a cinema, I told her not to worry cause this movie is definitely worth it
When we walked in the cinema, it was house-full and we're like the only non-indian in the room looking for our seats.
One of the Indian couple even look at us with
are-you-sure-you're-in-the-right-cinema look.
Haha.
Come to Malaysia darling, you and I we're share a country and the cinema.

Finally we managed to find a seat and settled down. Then Mira asked me a question
"Ada subtitle tak?"
Why in the hell did I not thought of that?
We both turned our head around and saw only Indians in the room.
The trailers that they played prior to the movie started has no subtitles on it.
My heart starts sinking.
Until we finally saw the word printed on the screen translating the language when the movie started.
 And we both smile.
Thank heavens!

The first stunt in the movie got a laugh from half of the audience.
Its a scene where Aamir Khan was riding a bike steadily on a
single rubber rope (or rubber string, I don't know what they call it)

Even Mira laughes.
So I told her " Kalau nak tengok hindustan, tak boleh pakai akal, kena pakai hati"
But we can't help to laughed again at the next stunt.
Hehe.
Fun times.
And since the movie is like 3 hours long,
they have 15 minutes loo-break after the first one and half an hour.
When the movie ended, I was shock to hear when Mira said,
"Tunggu habis lagu closing ni baru balik"
I was just about to said the same thing but there you go.
I had managed to infect a friend with the hindustan awesomeness.
But all in all we had fun.
Thanks M!

Us. Sitting gleefully in the movie theater

 Till the, toodles peeps!

Life as it is..

I had my regular dose of The Daily Grind's Red Velvet every once a month.
Worth every penny!

I started baking again. Which is good.
Its been ages since I last bake a regular chocolate cake till last week.
I wanted to try the chocolate frosting from here, which explains why I baked the chocolate cake.
And it tasted heavenly delicious.
Don't forgot to read the reviews when you're trying out the choc frosting recipe.

Went and meet with my darling girls for a night out.
We talked and had a great time.
But I miss my other girls N&D.

Life has been slow and rough lately but I'm trying to take one day at a time.
And hope that all of this will be behind me very soon.

 Thank you for your time.

xoxo!

Breakfast @ Levain KL

You read the title.
My bimbo's and I went out for early morning breakfast at Levain, in Jalan Imbi.
It was my first visit to the place.
It has very colonial look and the foreign staff was great.
The Malay ones acts like they're working in local hawkers stall.
Its an old bungalow house building so the parking are little bit limited.
You can park your car in the compound for RM2 and there's also a valet.
But you are always free to park your car outside the compound as well.
My bimbo's had a blast.
They've been snapping pictures all the way in right until the end.

The breakfast plate plus a drink will cost you about RM15++.
I always love breakfast but somehow Levain is not in my favourite list.
Though their pastry tasted pretty good.

They have cheese croissants and chocolate filling pastry that tastes quite good.
There was one pastry I couldn't remember its name but it has something like a caramelized chopped peanuts on top of a pastry which tasted divine.
And when there's green coloured macaroons on the display,
do ask what is the flavor.
Because initially we thought it was Green tea or Pistache filling.
But then it turned out to be Durian flavor! Yikes. Not a fan of durian.

The shop was quite full when we're about to leave around 10.30am.
But you should drop by this place and feel the classical feeling the interior offers.
It offers you a temporary serenity in the mid of KL's hustles.

Thank you for staying.
xoxo!

My friends are grown-ups!

Hello chipmunks!
Its been awhile.
Since the last few weeks I have been meaning to share couple of stories but haven't got the time to gather all the pictures+enthusiasm for it.
So I decided to skip the topic I intended to share and rather talk bout what I feel now.
Most of my friends who were very dear to me, recently graduated and now are working in respected firms/companies/banks.
Most of them are very happy with the position that they're in today though sometimes I can read the wrath that they bestowed upon their bosses in their twitter accounts, but I know they are happy and somewhat content that they made it.

When my closed friends came to my house the other night and talked about whatever is going on in their life, I realized the conversation starts to have a different pattern.
Instead of discussing our common issues, we talk about where is the best place to dine, how they managed to pay their own bills and financial planning, scandals at the workplace, jokes on engagement and weddings...etc.
In that moment I smiled.

It amazes me when once upon a time, we always wonder on what our life would be like after we graduate.
And yet here we are. Sitting on a round table eating our supper and be where we would had envision ourselves 5 years ago.

We met in high school, grew up through our university days and now here they are starting their career.
Our conversation once dominated about boys+gossips, matures through struggles and life crisis, and now to stories bout their finance, marriage, and future planning.
I'm grateful to be able to witness this transformation and still being able to be intact with them while at it.
I realized that not many people has the opportunity to have this kind of experience.

Allah s.w.t has been nothing but gracious to me,
and for this I prey that He'll shower us with all His blessings forever and always.
Amin

Thank you darlings for stopping by.
Love you, xoxo!

New Semester

Heylo darlings!
Sorry I haven't been updating my blog in awhile.
Blame it on my busy weekends.
I'd just started my new semester and I'm dying to share the view from my hostel room.
The view were not spellbinding but it's gorgeous.
I have 6 beautiful people in my room which was a blessed.
Last semester there was 8 people in my room and it was hell.
I'll post a photo of the view really soon, just wait.
In this current semester my timetable are not packed and
my lecturer's are kinda awesome.
My lecturer for Criminology's is manly gorgeous and my Food Chemistry's lecturer is a doll.

But right now all I can think of is I really want to eat cupcakes so bad.
I got this insane idea on what it taste like,
if I mix banana cake (crumble it completely) with cheese, shape it into balls,
and then dip in melted chocolate. Banana Choc and Cheese cakeballs!
I got these idea after I watch this.
And I decided to bake a Apple Carrot Cake with cream cheese topping and walnuts for my family gathering this weekend.
Plus I'd just Google on how to make Chocolate Tartlet and found this recipe. Wanna try it someday.
All I have to do is find a time,hmm..
I also got to meet my schoomates who I haven't seen in ages before the new semester starts.
They look as sweet as ever. Glad to meet you guys!
♥ Sarah, Zaheera, Laila, Fyda, Ili
Syazrin,Nadrah,Diyana,Nadzirah
Izzah,Intan, Shikin, and Fateen, Damya

So this is all for today. Will try to update it soon. xoxo!

Switchblade Kuala Lumpur

A trip to Switchblade last night was a celebration.
I haven't seen them in ages. They were all looking good and like mini fashionistas.
The food was scrumptious, authentic and made us all full.
The desserts was unlimited scoop of 6 flavors of ice cream
with 10 different toppings to choose from.
Since the dessert bowl was small,I was going back and
forth to the dessert table for more scoop of ice cream with crushed oreo toppings.
We snap picture all over the place and was having hell of a fun.
My friend even bake a rainbow birthday cake to celebrate all of our birthdays that we've missed!
It was sweet moment.

Thanks girls!
Hope we get to see each other preety soon.
Love you.
xoxo!

Happy Fasting, everyone!

Hello gorgeous!

Its been awhile since I last update my blog.
Sedih sangat sebab my phone connector wire tu tiba-tiba hilang.
Theres like bunch of photos that I really like to share.
About my findings, cakes and my research project.
I don't want to make do by telling you guys my stories without the pictures,so guess I 'll be sharing it some other time later.

By the way,how are you guys doing during these fasting months?
Mine, was a so-so. Basically a no-no. Blame it on me.
I miss my friends as hell.
Its been a couple of years since I had my whole fasting month at home.
Due to  my studies, I often spend my fasting month in college with my darling bumblebees.
Which was magnificent.
We get to go bazaar almost everyday ( Bazaar is the only thing that got me sooo teruja during these fasting month, other than Ramadhans barakah)
And then I got to buy nasi lemak ayam berempah in shah alam which is to die for..

Then bila waktu berbuka, my roommates will form a large circle and makan ramai-ramai. We'll share our drinks and the delicacies that we've bought. Then we'll swap stories and laugh out hard at the silliest things, before we'd realize we're gonna miss our Maghrib prayer time.
It was almost glorious for me and I am at peace.
Or sometimes my bumblebees will bring me to bazaar stadium in shah alam or go somewhere for late bukak puasa. Bestnya!
I really miss those moments. I really do.

Right now, as much as I enjoy my 3 month long holiday,I miss those time of always having someone to hang out with. That's one of the biggest perks of living in a dorm. There's always someone who you can poke.
As I am cruising my way in my holiday mood, my friends are busy with the final year industrial training. All of them,at the same time. I mean, how cruel is that?
Living me alone to comfort myself.

Sure I have my research project going on but still, I need time to laugh out loud or share my stupid jokes, do shopping, or hanging out etc.
And now I feel so blessed to have actually experienced those moments with them. Times might have changed, but memories will live on forever.
Though I do wish to have one more of the moments with them.
Then it'll be a perfect closing.

The end.

Thank for spending your precious moments by reading this post.
May God bless you always.
xoxo

Count Your Blessings!

I saw this pic and decided to give the topic a go.
If we could count our blessing till 10, we're kinda awesome.
Here's my list:

  1. Still have both of my parents. Though sometimes we fight, share bittersweet relation, have different opinion on certain issues, but in the end we all come back together as a family.
  2. Both of my parents are not overly conservative on today well beings. We still catch a late night movie together, went to mamak stalls at the wee hours, get a cup of coffee together, we could talk openly about all kinds of stuff and etc.
  3. I have my own personal heaven, my room!
  4. My two fav buddies are my rock star. The fact that we are still together has never stop to amazes me.                 U noe who you are!
  5. My friends are my cheerleaders. Without them, I would be in a mental institution for the lunatics right now.
  6. I am a healthy 23 year old lady. **smile**
  7. My 17 year old brother is my best buddy.
  8. I managed to juggled my studies at the university level  without failing any paper(so far, Thank God for that!) .
  9. I live in a war-free country (minus the political drama).
  10. I am able to get up in the morning, feel the fresh air, and perform my daily routine. I feel so blessed to have all my senses and my body parts still intact.

There you go.
My life may not be as sweet ,
but I'd figure God has given me a fair deal.
So I'm gonna try to live with it and make do with what I can.
May our life be a better place and heaven to our souls.
Thanks for tuning in!
..xoxo..

Apple Pie,anyone?

Life has been kinda so-so for me these past few days.
In fact I just came out from flu and cold. Not the best experience.

Last week I had a group assignment for OSHA subject.
They were 10 beautiful+funny people in my group,in which I was the group leader.

Mula-mula I thought takde orang nak masuk group I,sebab dalam kelas tu ada 190 students, and they all are like super seniors+juniors from various course.
Only my 2 friends and I from our batch yang gatal nak ambil subject ni awal.
So my friend pun gatal-gatal letak nama I jadi group leader sebab ingat takde orang nak masuk group we all.
But when my friend give out the group form for other students to fill in, it was a surprised that it came back in full.

So,this was my first experience working in large group for an assignment and with the super seniors.
I was like sangat la nervous nak deal dengan diorang.
But it turned they were such great+helpful+funny people, which turns out to be a great experience for me.
Not to mention masa working on the assignment,I was sick.
That is the worst part of the job.
And that the assignment's working instruction was very confusing. Hell confusing.
(Pity my group members sebab I asyik salah interpret the instructions)
But other than that,it was a great opportunity to get to know my my seniors.
I don't know what is like for them, but to me it was like working with your family cause there was no friction or even an awkward moments between us.
Given the fact that we all has never been working together before. So,its a score, right?

*******

And....
Last weekend,I baked these Apple Pie beauty...right from scratch.
As in the apple fillings, the crust, and the crumbles!
So proud of myself.

Till then, thank you for stopping by.
xoxo!!
I love you always!

Life Needs Frostings-Cinnabon

Few days ago,I was homesick, missing my family+friends and pretty much everything else.
So I went home, back to my amazing life with my fam.
And I found that,

I'm happy that my mum are super excited when I told her I wanna go home.
I'm happy that one of my friends who's been MIA for awhile text me to ask me to join her for dinner at Subway
I'm happy that my brother is sharing all his stories with me like we used to.
I'm happy that I get to spend my time at my favourite place in Bangsar.
I love the moment when my brother and I are sitting down at the kitchen for our late breakfast.
I love the feeling laying on my bed with my imagination running through the sky limits.
I love to know that there's a new furniture store in Bangsar. The store look very vibrant and yet very cosy.
I love waking up to the smell of my mum cookings.
I'm glad to be spending some time with my colleagues over a cup of ice-cream
I'm happy to know that I have average exam grades just like everyone else in my class.
I love how my room smells each time I walk in.
I'm happy to be enjoying Cinabbons with my bro.
I love the new cream coloured cardigan that I just bought.
I'm so happy that I got to eat my favourite food in the whole wide world over the weekend,Kambing Bakar! (Since it is so hard to find on the regular menu, so yeah,I went a little bit nuts while eating it)
I'm happy my cousins decide to drop by to our house for a chat at teatime.
I'm glad to feel that my new dorm are my own territory, and not a strange place anymore.
I'm surprised Mr. Sorethroat didn't stop by after I ate a cup of ice cream.
I love that I got to spend some time at the bookstore and bought a book, To Kill A Mocking Bird.
I'm glad I don't have to face this anymore. Thanks to the new friends I've made.

For all of these,I feel blessed. And prayed that I won't loose the sight to see and feel ALLAH S.W.T greatest creation around me.
Amin ya Rabbal Al Amin.

And now, here I am,back in my own territory.

Thank you for tuning in. I love you always!

Assassin Consultant..can ah?

Growing up, I never knew what my ambition was. Except that I want it to be big. Then I had this interest about working in the hospital. Regardless what the jobs are or which department I will be,but it must be in the hospital. This little reverie has been lingering in my mind until I started my studies..the art of studying ..well..its a torture..may be because I'm in the field which I have no interest in what so ever. The field called Forensic Science..ooo..

* the reason i choose it in the first place was because i was in critical mental state condition that caused me unable to distinguished between the word FORENSIC studies and FLIRTING studies during filling up the forms
(^-^)

Forensic studies is good. But it is too good. Only the creme dela creme were chosen to be in my class. The fact that I was chosen may be because nak cukupkan kuota. So..hmm..
But I want to be in the course where I can talk, show some skills and being able to wear beautiful clothes..

Tapi hunny, dalam keja forensic, kita tak bole pakai baju lawa2 sebab nanti kena pakai lab coat, so membazir la kalo nak dress up cam Blake Lively
Pastu, kita tak boleh pakai heels or kasut2 stilettos sebab takut nanti acid tumpah kat kaki kita.
And then, time buat keja, kita tak boleh nak cakap banyak takut nanti bacteria atau cecair2 saliva dari mulut kita contiminate sample.

With my knowledge,I could teach them how to preserve the bodies that they've killed before dumping them to avoid trace, I can told them which acid to use to destroy the body without any bones left to be traced, I can invent a gun/ riffle that shoot without releasing Gun Shot Residue ( GSR ), and I can even learn a thing or two from the Pro's..Nanti kalau I da jadi experienced Consultant, imagined how much they wold have to pay me..1 Juta, 2 Juta..atau mungkin berjuta-juta..hehe!!

With my help, this assassins will never be caught by the authorities. And therefore decreased the rate of murder in our country and make Malaysia a safe country in the eyes of the world. It will project the stability ruling of Malaysia and its security of economics and politics. This would encourage tourist to come and visit Malaysia and increase Malaysia's financial status..

Plus I get to wear nice shoes and clothes when meeting my client! And I get to talk, I get to share my knowledge, meeting different people, being superior when I do my job which is only consulting ( not getting the sample, run it in the lab, and show the results etc ), being superior because their entire operation reliability will be depending on me..how fancy!!

So darling, wouldn't it be a great job!!!?

p/s : If ada assassin yg nak hire I, sila tunggu I graduate dulu ye in 2012.= )

p/s ke-2 : This writing is just for fun ya..love you who ever read this..XOXO!

Flying Solo..

Asalammualaikum..
This year start off with no resolutions, hectic class schedule and no hot gossips..
And,i'm flying solo.
I used to have my friends with me..those humming birds that never stop humming. And now, i might still have them, but not like i used to. Those humming wings will be flying away in Sec19 Shah Alam while i wil be flapping my wings in Uitm Shah Alam itself.
The first day spending the time unpacking my things in my hostel room was the definition of peace, serenity and...alone.
To look on the bright side, now i sort of knew myself better at those independent moments.
But i will always miss those humming birds..we used to be flying side by sides, but now it feels like i'm flying solo..
And guess what, these are the times when you'll think that having a boyfriend to keep you company would be a nice treat. Accept you couldn't afford one due to my "you're so beautiful in every single way " look and 9am to 10pm class schedule. So, the best option i could think of is having an affair.. actually it doesn't sound so bad when you type it rather than said it out loud.. ; )
Have you ever thought of having one?
I do. Most of the time. The reverie thought will start creeping in my mind when i'm walking to and from class, when i'm in my room , before and after eating dinner and before i go to sleep.
Yes that's true, i'm thinking about it all the time. And trying making sense not to do it, which is hard because there's no reason not to.
Afraid that their partner will get hurt if they found out about it is the lamest excuse i can think of. They were the ones that brought their partner to think about having and affair in the first place.
So,why don't we accommodate them?
Given that some gentlemanly handsome guy wanna hit on you even you both know its not allowed, afraid that his partner will found out. But the thrill just keep knocking on both of you. With him being irresistible and your friends are out if the radar, why won't you?
But after a while,God must have foresee to this anticipated thought of mine, and so later He works His wonders by moving my friends into my hostel and living just couple of rooms away from mine. Having those hummingbirds wings keep flying at myself, i couldn't think of my "affair" anymore. My,my,i must have been really a bad girl since He has to moved them so quickly before i had my plans work out. : )
And so here i was, being saved with the presence of my hummingbirds and God's will..

p/s : Alhamdulillah
